It's über cool that you can have a video cover on your Facebook business page...
If you're like most of my marketer friends though, you might feel a bit stuck on what to do with that video and wondering about the best size, etc...
Let's change that all up for you
That cover is your first impression on a new visitor and if it's not speaking to them they will most likely leave and move on with their day, HOWEVER...
If you nail it, it will draw them in and possibly make them want to take a closer look at your page.
Here's where you can check out the blog I mention in the video on how to create a notification video to pin at the top of your page
To sum up, here are the 5 factors that are crucial to focus on for your new cool video cover so it becomes highly effective for you:
As a dancer, it's natural for me to think of everything you put out on your channels, as an experience.
No matter what business you have, even something as heavy and corporate as an accounting firm has to think about the client experience...
Right from that first moment, they come across your brand and until they come a customer I.E the customer journey...
So that cover is not just a cover! it has to come together as a part of that experience...
... and again, my way of guiding my visitors through the experience of my page has been to create a connecting video that I've pinned at the top of my Facebook page.
The video is encouraging them to and guiding them through how to set their notifications so they see all the info I post on my page.
Set the intention with your cover
What do you mean by that Felicia? - Glad you ask
I mean, do what I did and figure out what you want to accomplish with your cover banner.
Do you want to send them to a pinned video, as I did? Maybe you want them to simply like and follow your page right from the cover.
If you have a lead magnet, you could create a video that includes a link to that lead magnet, pin that video to the top and see how that works out for you.
Possibilities are endless. Test out and see what works for you.
When you set the intention, it becomes easier to come up with what to put inside your video and when you know who you're talking to (what audience you want to serve) it becomes easier to figure out what to say.
If you haven't already, I highly recommend watching the video, as I'm going into detail about my recommended formats and showing you what your audience is seeing.
Have fun with it, and let me know how it all works out for you
