How To Create Effective Marketing Videos For Social Media – Tip #1

By Felicia

September 23, 2019

Ever spend a F%&!-ton of time on creating a FABULOUS video. Finally posted it, and then no one saw it?... Or a few saw it, but no one commented or clicked the link you shared. It certainly didn't go viral! 👎  Bummer, right?

You are not the only one experiencing this, I've been there with you! It doesn't mean that video can't work for you, or that it won't be worth your time...

In this blog post I'm going to share with you why you shouldn't worry too much about getting the details right before posting your videos, and what you should focus on instead 👍

What is it that makes a video compel people to take action like crazy?

To be honest with you there's a few moving parts to a successful video, but to start somewhere, let me start here:

It's rare to have a video be successful right out of the gate, of course it happens occasionally, but chances are that you'll have to try a few times...

The first obstacle Tracy and I see for our students, when they first get started inside our course, Video Branding Secrets, is that they want the video to be perfect before posting it...

They get caught up in little details, and as a result postpone posting the video. When and if they finally post the video it feels extremely dissapointing to have spend so much time on one video and 10 people saw it. No one clicked on the link or commented for more info on that video.

Being a highly creative person myself, I sabotaged my own success for the longest time, because I thought if I got all the details before posting it then my videos would be a big fat success...

It's counter intuitive for most of us, but the details is the last touch! First you need to test your idea, to see if it resonates with your audience...

Like I said in the beginning of this post, lots of moving parts, and if you're looking for the fastest way to success, you have to let go of being perfect and welcome the idea of putting raw ideas out there to test and let your audience tell you what's up...

Testing things out, gives you the information you need to be able to evaluate, and adjust your ideas and videos to speak to the audience you're looking to compel.

If you think this sounds like a loooong process, I get it! Once again, it seems counter-intuitive, but as Tracy and I usually say. "Go slow to go fast"...

Results show up faster for those who dare putting raw ideas out there, measure performance and then evaluate to make better...

"luck favors the prepared!" - prepare for your success...
